Admin and Marketing Assistant Apprenticeship

We are a highly successful Marketing Agency based near Newton Abbot, Kingskerswell. Our specialism is working with the tourism industry, and we are proud to have hundreds of fabulous hotel and restaurant clients throughout the UK. We are looking to recruit an ambitious Admin and Marketing Assistant Apprentice to join our growing team and this specific vacancy offers a unique opportunity to join our busy Gift Voucher Brilliance team.

Gift Voucher Brilliance is a software solution we have developed that integrates into hotel and restaurant websites for customers to purchase gift vouchers. The role is office-based, and no prior experience is necessary as full training will be provided but a willingness to learn is essential; we suspect the successful candidate will have quiet confidence, enthusiasm, and a natural curiosity.

If successful, you will be enrolled on a business admin level three qualification with South Devon College.

This role will give the successful applicant great exposure to the busy admin duties of a growing department and our own marketing academy which will further add to an excellent grounding in a marketing business.

There is scope for this to become a full-time role post apprenticeship

The Admin and Marketing Assistant Apprenticeship Opportunity

We are seeking an ambitious and motivated person to join our team.

Specific duties will include:

  • Answering the telephone and transferring calls to relevant team members, and taking messages
  • Monitoring the support helpdesk and answering client queries with the assistance of the team
  • Loading content and images into an online management system
  • Social Media content and posting
  • Virtual appointment booking (In time, this will include undertaking remote virtual demos and training sessions with clients, but full training will be provided and will only be executed when the candidate is deemed ready)
  • Proofing new sites before they go live and testing new functionality
  • Document management
  • Assisting with fulfilment (printing, packing and posting vouchers). In time the candidate will be responsible for running the fulfilment area on specific days.

Duration: 12 months

Apprenticeship level: Business Admin Level 3.

Responsibilities

Account Managers are responsible to the excellent delivery of marketing services across a range of hospitality clients.

Key responsibilities:

  1. Account management: managing and delivering creative campaiangs to key accounts ensuring client retention and upselling additional services.
  2. Creative campaiangs: working with the team to devise and deliver fantastic, B2C marketing campaigns to meet client objectives.
  3. Mentoring: helping to develop junior team members’ marketing knowledge, experience and confidence to help them develop their career.

Knowledge and Experience:

  • Account management: confident in day-to-day client liaison with business owners
  • Branding: taking a strategic approach to brand development
  • Strategy: creating marketing plans and short and medium term marketing strategies for clients
  • Content: creating compelling copy to drive engagement
  • Email marketing: create effective email marketing campaigns to increase exposure and drive sales.
  • Social Media: developing a distinct online presence by attracting high numbers of engagenet and followers through social channels with organic and paid posts
  • Search engine optimisation: developing SEO strategies to increase number of visitors to a website by getting high-ranking placements in search results.
  • PPC: oversee the management of paid advertising budgets – Metasearch, Google AdWords, remarketing and social media ad campaigns.
