Digital Marketing Executive - Content Specialist - Graduate role

The role

Joining a busy and established marketing agency, specialising in travel and hospitality, you will work with a range of gorgeous hotels, savvy accommodation providers and award-winning travel destinations.

We are a friendly and dynamic bunch of marketers, designers, web developers and office dog and for the right person, this is a great opportunity to join a forward-thinking agency with excellent career development possibilities.

You'll also love to learn more (training can be given), support and share your expertise with other team members, and demonstrate excellent attention to detail. Reporting to the Head of Marketing, essentially you’ll need to be comfortable with creating large volumes of content to complement our existing team. Passion, spark and an engaging personality are also very important.

Working closely with team members, following required training, your responsibilities will include:

  • Develop marketing communications plans
  • Create social posts and ads, including copy and graphics/gifs/videos
  • Research and write topic blogs in medium and long form with an understanding of SEO
  • Create web content to target keywords/phases
  • Build and send targeted marketing emails
  • Analyse marketing campaigns with metric tools and report to client’s on their performance and identify areas for improvement
  • Work with the whole team to co-ordinate campaign activity and brainstorm creative ideas
  • Keeping up to date with the latest technology and best practices to generate creative ideas and campaigns


Required Skills

  • Content: creating compelling copy to drive engagement
  • Email marketing: create effective email marketing campaigns to increase exposure and drive sales.
  • Social Media: developing a distinct online presence by attracting high numbers of engagenet and followers through social channels with organic and paid posts
  • Motivated, fast worker
  • Educated to relevant degree level (ideally: marketing, business, creative writing, English) or with 2 years or more marketing communication experience
  • Strong understanding of marketing principles, with a keen appetite to learn


Desirable attributes:

  • Analytics: using web analytics software to monitor performance of client websites and make recommendations for improvements

  • Administer web analytics dashboards
  • Monitor and evaluate search results and performance
  • Manage and support on-going client relationships
  • Keeping pace with all digital marketing industry trends and developments
  • You will be a marketing graduate or an enthusiastic technical expert with a keen interest in marketing.

Required Skills:

  • Strong eye for detail and an analytical mind-set
  • Highly organised and efficient
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Motivated, fast worker
  • Educated to relevant degree level (ideally: marketing, business, creative writing, English) or with 2 years or more Technical marketing experience
  • Strong understanding of marketing principles, with a keen appetite to learn

Desirable Skills:

SEO experience

  • SEO copy writing
  • Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in SEO
  • Working knowledge of PPC (paid campaigns)
  • Developing short-term and long-term PPC account strategies
  • Experience with software, including Moz Pro and/or Google products such Analytics, Google Ads, Search Console, Keyword Planner and PageSpeed Insights etc.
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, PHP & CMS Systems
  • Knowledge of Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager and WordPress
  • Experience in creating and sending email marketing campaigns
