What we did
Lady’s Mile Holiday Park in Devon wanted to maximise Summer 2021 bookings following an extraordinary year of Coronavirus lockdowns. Clockwork developed an integrated “Don’t Miss Devon This Summer” integrated digital marketing campaign in response.
With the 2020 hospitality bounce back post-lockdown in mind, the Clockwork creative team brainstormed a number of FOMO (fear of missing out) ideas to link into people’s need for a big Summer holiday. “Don’t Miss Devon This Summer” was the campaign strapline with a strong location hook that urged people not to miss out on their Summer holiday. The words also keyed into people searching for Summer holidays in Devon.
We created an optimised landing page which included an attractive price promotion of a £50 booking deposit. The landing page content was used to create “Search” and “Display” PPC (pay per click) ads to drive people to the page and for brand consistency.
The completed Google Ad (PPC) campaign cost £15,000 combining search and display ads promoting lodges, caravans, touring & camping and safari tents. The campaign generated over £300,000 in revenue equating to £29 in bookings for every £1 spent.
The ad campaign and website was integrated across other digital marketing channels with a campaign video promoted across targeted emails, social posts and ads also driving further bookings.
A campaign video was created and promoted socially, to help highlight the benefits of staying in Devon rather than booking your Summer holiday abroad.
The overall “Don’t Miss Devon This Summer” marketing campaign made £777,021 in revenue between the 21st Feb – 2nd April. The client was absolutely delighted with this fantastic result and enabled them to achieve their main objective of completely booking out for Summer while increasing traffic, direct bookings and brand awareness.
