When we met Sally and David Fox in February 2014, bookings were in decline and they were on the brink of leaving the industry altogether. Recognising their high-quality offering, we could see that this was not reflected in their website. We felt there was much greater scope to evoke a response from guests and represent Kilcamb as a unique and desirable location.
We made subtle changes to Kilcamb Lodge’s brand identity and created a website to reflect the character, quality and excellent level of service at the hotel. Most notably, we showcased the hotel’s wonderful location with inspirational photography and much improved visual branding.
Alongside the website launch in May 2014, we ran a digital marketing campaign to ensure its visibility in organic searches. By the end of June 2015, visitor numbers to the website had doubled and Sally & David had seen their turnover increase by a staggering 45%.
Two years on, we continue to work closely with Kilcamb Lodge, celebrating their award-winning restaurant, luxurious rooms and beautiful setting via monthly blogs, regular email campaigns and social media posts. All these activities help to maintain the website’s visibility in a competitive Scottish hotel market.
