Our History

Clockwork Marketing is a full-service marketing agency born out of the world of hospitality. It’s a useful place to have started, because hospitality marketing is incredibly varied and seriously competitive.

We first set up shop in 1992. There was just one of us back then, but word got around and clients flocked to Clockwork. They loved our affordable, flexible approach to marketing. Even all those years ago data was part of our DNA: our founder (Clare Bushby) had been exploring the power of targeted mailings and data interrogation.

For the next few years we steadily grew, branching into creative endeavours. Then the Internet happened and we developed our digital roots, helping our clients transition to a life online. And ever since Steve Jobs launched the iPhone and iPad, the momentum has accelerated!

From a starting team of just one, there are now over twenty of us. We like this size: not so big that we don’t know our clients, but big enough to specialise in everything we do.
