The Jack In The Green
A Devon Dining Pub of the Year laden with accolades and full of integrity. An extremely warm welcome compliments the skills of the powerhouse kitchen that features both the Southwest and Devon Chef of the Year. Michelin and AA rated, the restaurant acts as a shop window to display the very best of what Devon has to offer. Local suppliers are not just listed on the menu, they are shouted about from the rooftops. As of October 2007, Head Chef Matthew Mason has embarked on an exciting new relationship to help educate the children at nearby West Hill Primary School. Full updates, podcasts and pictures will be posted on their website throughout the year.
How we approach PR
Our mentality is to think strictly outside of the box and to provide clients with a solid point of difference using a powerful and consistent voice. With extensive experience of working in the food, drink and hospitality sectors, as well as with sustainable tourism businesses, our approach is extremely imaginative in the pursuit of new opportunities. Generating infleuntial editorial, entering and winning awards, securing high profile endorsements, organising promotions and exploring events & sponsorship opportunities are all part of what we do.
The diversity of clients that we represent has allowed us to build up a number of key contacts in both the regional and national press, across lifestyle, hospitality, travel, food and the trade press. We see no point in undertaking a project if our enthusiasm and a genuine passion for the subject area is missing. Successful PR requires a top level and thorough undertsanding of a business and we apply a mindset that, over a period of time, means we live and breathe the values and passion of a product as if it were our own.
PR should be a long term and ongoing discipline not to be confused with a short term desire for headlines. Relationships do genuinely take time to build as does the momentum and the groundwork needed to get the perception of a company or brand to a certain point.
Copywriting
The ability to write copy that has integrity, punch and real panche is a very niche skill. We are all bombarded day in, day out with endless words, many of which are simply not worth reading. The skill is in understanding every small detail that makes a company or product of real interest and then weaving in these USP's to a style that connects on a personal level. As with PR, understanding what is worth communicating comes from a passion for the subject and a connection with the individuals involved. There are no easy shortcuts.
