Location and History
Clockwork is a Devon-based marketing company which has seen considerable organic growth since its creation back in 1992. Founded by Managing Director Clare Bushby, Clockwork has worked with a number of regional and national businesses in tourism, retail and finance sectors.
Our Data with Destiny
Work began with hotel databases, extracting important information and targeting key customers with marketing campaigns. Having started in a home office with just a handful of staff, our team has now grown to a talented and passionate parade of twenty. We are proud that our significant growth has been coupled with major financial return in all our client’s businesses.
Today, Clockwork offers a wide range of marketing services from web design, web marketing, print design, data management, direct mail, mobile websites, marketing strategy, ecommerce websites and much more.
We were proud finalists in the South Devon Business Excellence Awards this year. It seems particularly fitting that in our 20th year of brilliance we were considered for a Business Growth Award. Growing year on year hasn't always been easy - especially considering the current economic climate - but we believe our ability to do so demonstrates our clients' faith and confidence in our unequivocal drive and ability to grow their businesses.
After starting life from a small home office and a couple of small moves along the way, we relocated to a larger office with stunning countryside views in March 2010. We are an incredibly talented bunch of people and our creativity and hardwork is aided by beautiful views out over 3 acres of stunning Kingskerswell countryside!
Director Paul Bushby first saw our offices in early 2009. At that time we were in leased premises in Newton Abbot, where we had been for the past 6 years. Our lease was at an end and we had to make a decision whether to renew it or take the risk - at what was economically a difficult time - to buy our own property. He could see the potential, but we probably had very little idea what we were letting ourselves in for!
Work began in Autumn 2009, the site was cleared and work began with miles of cabling and other electronic gadgetry that we need to run our business. We painted, cleaned, did more painting and more cleaning. Paul chopped, strimmed and eventually mowed Triffid-like weeds into submission, put up fences and gates, moved mountains of earth from one place to another and in some cases back again, planted almost a thousand hedging plants and some trees, until at last in March 2010 we moved in...and the rest, as they say, is history!
